Eric Macy, founder of Nonik Technologies, moved to Hillsdale, Michigan in 1996 and worked as the Engineering and Quality Manager for Bose Corporation. During his time at Bose, he and his wife fell in love with the area, so it’s no surprise that when he struck out on his own, he started the business in Hillsdale. Bose was the fledgling company’s very first client when it opened its doors in 2002 and continues to be today.
As he grew his business over the years, Eric began to realize something: many Hillsdale County small and medium sized businesses didn’t have the resources to hire full-time computer experts, and ones that did found that those employees were apt to leave after a brief period of time for better opportunities elsewhere. Nonik added to its client base by serving these local companies with superior expert IT services.
In 2006, Nonik moved its offices to downtown Hillsdale, and started providing remote monitoring and maintenance of client IT systems and networks. This was the start of the Avalon Service platform that provides SMB clients with an all-inclusive fixed monthly price for IT system and networking service and maintenance. This service has expanded to include many options to enhance security, reliability and scalability of client systems.
Today, Nonik still serves the technology needs of those local small and medium sized businesses. And, based on the company’s strong track record of excellent service, we’ve been able to expand our operations and support companies all throughout Northwest Ohio, Southern Michigan and Northern Indiana. Now organizations throughout the region can take advantage of the comprehensive, cost-effective support that Nonik provides.
